Welcome to the Home Page of the Launceston Philatelic Society. You are visitor No. The Society was founded in 1946 by a group of people who had a common interest, stamp collecting and exhibiting. The Society has continued to foster philately since that date and at present has a very active membership. Some of the members interests are Maritime Exploration, Tasmanian Railway Parcel Stamps, Australian Pre-decimal, Tasmanian Post Office Directional markings and Stamp Duties just to mention a few. There are also many members who are just interested in collecting a specific country or the world in general. |
